CP shooting tourney will be the club’s best launch of new season

KUWAIT: HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah annual shooting tournament will be the best launch of the club’s new season (2024-2025), said President of the Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Engineer Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi.

Al-Otaibi who chairs the higher organizing committee said during a press conference that the tournament will include all Olympic competitions for men and women, that is the shotgun (skeet and trap), pistol, rifle and archery.

He said that Kuwait Shooting Sport Club will organize the Arab Shotgun Championship to go along with HH the Crown Prince tournament. He said that Kuwait shooters are ready for both tournaments and expected to get outstanding results.

Al-Otaibi said the club organizes two major tournaments each year, one is HH the Amir Annual International Grand Prix and HH the Crown Prince Championship, and appreciated the support from the political leadership that enabled the shooting sport make many major achievements in various arenas.

He said the organizing committee prepared Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex which will host the tournament as all committees are carrying out their roles for the preparation process. Eng Al-Otaibi thanked the Public Authority for Sport and all concerned state entities for facilitating all that is necessary to ensure the success of this highly important sports event.

Secretary General of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Obaid Al-Osaimi said the committee was getting ready early to organize this major tournaments and pointed to the efforts of the organizing committee.

Al-Osaimi said the Arab shotgun competition will be held alongside HH the Crown Prince tournament in which around 130 shooters and officials will be participating, adding the tournament is expected to witness high levels in all competitions.
