Public Works Minister tours T2 again, vows to finish project on time

KUWAIT: The government is mobilizing all available resources to complete the new airport project (T2) and to operate all services and facilities according to the planned timeline, said Public Works Minister Noura Al-Mashaan. Mashaan went on an inspection tour of the passenger terminal (T2) Thursday, one of tens of tours she has done since she was appointed to office. As in previous visits, the minister didn’t give much detail about the reasons for her inspection tour.

“The purpose of the visit was to closely observe the project’s progress, address any challenges encountered, and work to resolve them,” she told KUNA. The minister repeated previous promises that the airport “will contribute to transforming the country into a regional and global financial and commercial hub attractive to investment” while “adhering to the best international standards in civil aviation.”

The minister, whose office is tasked with overseeing the airport project, called for the “swift completion” of all work with the required quality and efficiency according to the approved technical specifications and adherence to the promised timeline.
