KUWAIT: Minister of Health Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi signed a memorandum of understanding Wednesday with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), in the presence of the Canadian Ambassador to Kuwait, Aliya Mawani. This agreement aims to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the healthcare sector.
The Canadian Commercial Corporation is a government agency established in 1946, dedicated to supporting international trade growth. It serves as a link between Canadian companies and global markets, facilitating the export of Canadian health products and services while enhancing the quality of healthcare through advanced Canadian technologies and expertise.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the agreement followed the completion of the necessary legal procedures in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Fatwa and Legislation Department. The statement added that the two sides look forward to enhancing mutual cooperation in healthcare through the exchange of expertise and technologies, benefiting the health care sector and contributing to achieving comprehensive development goals for both countries.
Attending the signing on the Kuwaiti side were Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and Assistant Undersecretary for External Health Services Dr Hisham Klandar. From the Canadian side, in addition to Ambassador Mawani, Jeff Rice, Director of Business Development at CCC, also attended as the authorized signatory for the agreement. — KUNA
