Burgan Bank sponsors 2024 AU Career Fair

Participation expands on bank’s strategy for sustainable human capital development

KUWAIT: Burgan Bank recently concluded its sponsorship of and participation in the annual career fair hosted by the Australian University in Kuwait (AU). This comes as part of the Bank’s dedicated strategy for sustainable investment in Kuwait’s aspiring talents and top calibers. “We were delighted to renew our collaboration with the Australian University in Kuwait and sponsor their 2024 career fair as part of our robust strategy for sustainable investment in Kuwait’s national talents,” said Abdulwahab Abdulraheem, Executive Manager for Talent Acquisition at Burgan Bank.

“Career fairs, such as the outstanding event organized by AU, help job seekers find the right opportunities that match their expertise, interests and aspirations. This is further enriched by creating the space for in-person conversations, where students can find out a lot more about their vacancies of interest beyond the job responsibilities. It also allows us to screen candidates and determine more accurately if they are suitable fits for the Bank and vacant roles.”

Burgan representatives were available at the bank’s designated booth throughout the event, answering students’ questions about the bank’s various departments, work environment, growth and development, benefits, and more. In addition, they spread essential financial literacy information, as part of Burgan’s committed support of the national banking awareness campaign, “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) – launched and supervised by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) with support from Kuwaiti banks. This included introducing visitors to Burgan Bank’s latest products and services that are tailored to each segment’s needs, enabling customers to manage their finances soundly and safely.

Besides Burgan’s participation in AU’s career fair, the bank continued to regularly support and take part in numerous employment fairs across the country, including those organized by the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), the American University in Kuwait (AUK), and the American University of the Middle East (AUM), as well as Kuwait’s biggest employment fair, Watheefti. This stems from the bank’s commitment to hiring and developing Kuwait’s most aspiring and promising talents and putting them on a steady trajectory of growth and development, as part of Burgan’s robust human capital development strategy and its dedication to empowering a generation of Kuwaiti leaders in the banking sector.
