AU hosts TEDx with diverse lineup of inspirational speakers

KUWAIT: The Teaching and Learning Center at the Australian University (AU) hosted the highly anticipated TEDx event on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in its Auditorium under the theme “Mindset: Shaping Tomorrow”. The talk brought together innovative thinkers, passionate leaders and talented speakers to share ideas worth spreading.

TEDx Australian University, licensed by global TED organization, featured a diverse lineup of speakers aiming to foster a spirit of curiosity and exploration, encouraging the AU community to challenge norms and envision a better future. Keynote speeches were brought by local community influential and inspirational figures sharing their experiences to inspire attendees and motivate them to persevere despite adversity. The speakers included Dr Manal Al-Hasawi, Asrar Al-Ansari, Ali Najim, Majed Al-Zaabi, Mohammad Al-Saddani, Rola Mourdaa, Abdullah Boftain, Sayer Al-Otaibi, Nicholas Chalhoub, Ali Nasser, Sharefah Baqer and Hussain Al-Mossawi.

Rola Mourdaa, Manager of the Teaching and Learning Center at AU, during her speech shared her personal experiences and reflected on standing firm in one’s values. She remarked: “Success and happiness in life are not based on money, fame or career, maybe it’s a combination of all but what will really count in the end are moments of connection, shared laughter, support during hard times and priceless memories with loved ones.”
