AAW celebrates opening of ASICS’ 4th store in Kuwait

KUWAIT: Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co (AAW) and ASICS, the renowned Japanese sportswear brand, celebrated the opening of their new store in Assima Mall. The event was attended by the Japanese Ambassador to Kuwait Morino Yasunari, the ASICS Arabia General Manager Seiji Hori, AAW Chairman and CEO Faisal Ali Al-Mutawa, AAW Deputy CEO Khalid Faisal Al-Mutawa, along with team members from AAW and ASICS, as well as mall visitors.

The celebration highlighted ASICS’ brand heritage and its ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body’ philosophy. The event featured a range of Japanese-inspired entertainment, including a live handpan performance, a Japanese ink painting show, Japanese catering, and interactive games.

These activities not only showcased the brand’s cultural roots but also emphasized its technological innovations in sports and lifestyle. The ASICS Assima store, located on the Mezzanine floor, offers a wide range of running, volleyball, padel, tennis, and other sport style apparel and footwear for men, women, and children. In addition, customers can use the brand’s Foot ID and Run Analysis to determine their optimal running shoe.

Since its launch in Kuwait in 2018, ASICS has become a preferred choice for those seeking high-quality sportswear and footwear. This success is attributed to the brand’s commitment to testing, research, and sustainable practices, ensuring products that align with its philosophy of “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body.” It is worth noting that the first ASICS store in Kuwait was opened at The Avenues in 2018, the second at 360 Mall, the third at Al Khiran Mall, and now the fourth at Assima Mall, which is open from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.
