Zain empowers students to excel in the world of business

Second FUN Talks initiative kicks-off in partnership with M2 Club at Kuwait University

KUWAIT: For the second time running, Zain has kicked-off its FUN Talks initiative in strategic partnership with the Management and Marketing Club (M2 Club) at the College of Business Administration, Kuwait University. The initiative brings together a distinguished group of local entrepreneurs and business success stories to share their experiences with students, empowering them to pursue their dreams and contribute to the growth of the creative economy.

This initiative comes under the umbrella of Zain’s Future University Network (FUN) program, which provides university students with a plethora of opportunities to gain knowledge and skills through a wide range of year-round programs and initiatives. The programs are designed to upskill participants in diverse areas, preparing them to enter the local private sector and empowering them to excel in their future careers.

FUN Talks features insightful discussions with a select group of Kuwaiti entrepreneurs and founders of popular local startups who have achieved inspiring success in the business world. The guests share their stories with the students and discuss how they transformed their dreams into competitive brands that exceled in the local market. This platform enables students to interact closely with the speakers to learn from their unique journeys, something that inspires them to realize their own dreams one day. The discussions are moderated by Dr Abrar Abul, a faculty member at the College of Business Administration.

This year, FUN Talks hosts several notable figures, including Bader Aloqaili, co-founder of the highly successful PICK chain that specializes in passionately made, fresh, and nutritious food. Also joining the guests is Raghad Al Zamil, CEO of Arzi Holding, an enterprise spanning multiple sectors with a focus on creativity and sustainability. She is also the co-founder of Mawada, a unique online gifting platform, and the founder of Ocean Minded, an organization committed to educating younger generations on the importance of marine conservation. Also joining the panels are Maryam Dashti and Abdullah Abu Qasim from Lose & Gain, a comprehensive health center focused on sports care and wellness activities, as well as Fahad Abu Al-Hassan, the creator of the popular social entertainment game MKHMKH.

This new edition follows the success of the first, which featured prominent local business figures such as Mohammed Al-Hajraf, founder of FURDTK, the platform specializing in fresh produce, and Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, CEO of Diet Station, a leading provider of healthy meal subscriptions. Other notable participants from last season included Lujain Al-Wazzan, Chief Operating Officer, and Janan Al-Wazzan, Creative Director at Al-Wazzan Education, which operates a number of world-class academic institutions, and Mohammed Al-Dhubaib, CEO of Seazen Group, a leader in the hospitality sector managing popular restaurants across the country.

FUN continues to be one of Zain’s most engaging sustainable programs since its launch in 2008, focusing on investing in the next generation of Kuwait’s talents. Over the years, the program has provided hundreds of students with paid part-time experiences at Zain, helping them launch their careers, while also bringing them many development and training opportunities to empower them to excel in their fields.
