KUWAIT: Kuwait Times and Kuwait News hosted students from the American Academy School to explore the behind-the-scenes dynamics of journalism. The students toured various departments and met the Kuwait Times team, who helped them learn about the nature of working in a newspaper. Their tour started with the studio where Kuwait Times Content Creator Dhoha Al-Issa explained to them how videos for Kuwait Times’ social media pages are filmed. They then moved to the editorial department, where Kuwait Times reporter Ghadeer Ghloum spoke about the processes involved in news gathering, writing, editing, and translating.

Next, the students visited Kuwait Times’ archives, where they were allowed to travel to the past and explore the 63-year history of Kuwait Times. They not only saw historical news but also looked for events that happened on the days they were born, and news that show the world hasn’t changed much between the past and the present, making them wonder how history sometimes repeats itself. They were finally taken to the printing press, where they saw how the printer works.
