MANAMA: Kuwait School Sports Federation and Higher Education athlete Abdul Latif Al-Failakawi on Saturday won the silver medal in the 800-meter race at the 2024 World School Games Bahrain, held under the patronage of Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. National coach Saad Al-Hajri, in a statement to KUNA, credited this global achievement to the political leadership and officials from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs.

He noted that they provided the necessary resources for the delegation to secure the first medal in the World School Games. Al-Hajri praised Al-Failakawi’s performance in the competitive 800-meter race. Morocco won the gold medal, and China finished in third place. Al-Hajri praised all the players who made great efforts in the tournament since its launch and supported each other. — KUNA
