KUWAIT: Al-Safa Charity Society on Monday launched its seasonal project, the "Warmth and Safety” campaign, which is one of the most prominent projects implemented by the society in the Kyrgyz Republic, coinciding with the onset of winter. Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, Mohammad Al-Shaya, said in a press statement that the project is a type of social solidarity among Muslims. It targets thousands of families, widows, orphans, and the poor in the Kyrgyz Republic. Heating materials such as coal, winter clothing, and blankets will be distributed to them.

Winter clothes are distributed to the Kyrgyz people.

He explained that the society is keen to launch this project annually before the significant drop in temperatures that the Kyrgyz Republic witnesses every year. He added that temperatures in Kyrgyzstan will begin to drop sharply with the snowfall in a few weeks, amid the suffering of these widows, orphans, the poor, and the needy who are in dire need of a helping hand. Al-Shaya called on people and business owners to stand by their brothers in Kyrgyzstan as they await their assistance to ease the harsh winter. He urged them to donate by calling the hotline designated for inquiries and donations (22233322) or through the association’s website (alsafakw.com) or by visiting its headquarters. — KUNA
