Sheikha Fadia Al-Sabah awarded Ambassador for Social Responsibility

KUWAIT: The Regional Network for Social Responsibility announced on Wednesday that Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, Chairwoman of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women’s Associations, has been awarded the title of International Ambassador for Social Responsibility. This award recognizes Sheikha Fadia Al-Sabah’s significant efforts and positive commitment to her community and her work. In a press release, the network highlighted that Sheikha Fadia’s appointment to the International Ambassadors for Social Responsibility Program reflects her extensive contributions to humanitarian, developmental, social, and educational causes.

The network added that the appointment is aimed at supporting various issues addressed by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility across different sectors and helping raise awareness and support for these causes. The statement emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of social responsibility in the Arab region, especially in the Middle East, and also stressed the need to encourage and empower the private sector to adopt and implement social responsibility initiatives to assist companies and institutions in meeting sustainability standards.

The award ceremony was held at the Al-Shaab Palace and was attended by several distinguished figures, including Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, Head of the Political Science Department at Kuwait University Dr Haila Al-Mukaimi, Dr Ibtisam Al-Rifai and Huda Al Qenaei, member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Federation of Women’s Associations. The delegation from the Regional Network included Dr Salah Abdulrahman, President of the International Congress for Social Responsibility; Dr Shehab Al-Othman, Head of the Advisory Committee for Kuwait’s Social Responsibility Program and official representatives of the network in Kuwait.

The Regional Network for Social Responsibility is an international non-profit professional institution that was established in 2007, and has branches, offices and representative agreements in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the kingdom of Morocco, the Republic of Tunisia, the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of France, Turkey, the Sultanate of Oman, the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the United States of America.

It aims to raise the level of awareness about the social responsibility of companies and institutions and achieves its goal by providing consultancy services, implementing training programs and specialized workshops, as well as organizing forums and press conferences in the areas of social responsibility, sustainable development, green economy, community service and institutional volunteering. — Agencies
