AMMAN: As the humanitarian situation in Palestine continues to deteriorate, Kuwait’s support for people under Zionist attack has not wavered. Last weekend, Kuwaiti delegates were in Jordan to oversee aid deliveries to Gaza, as well as Palestinian and Syrian refugees. Six relief trucks were ready for Gaza Friday in an initiative funded by Kuwait and Jordan to support afflicted families in the Gaza Strip.
The trucks are part of the Gaza relief convoy campaign by The International Islamic Charity Organization (IICO). Kuwait’s Ambassador to Jordan Hamad Al-Marri told KUNA that Kuwait is a country that is wholeheartedly standing with the Palestinian people and aids them constantly. Kuwait continues its continued material and moral support for the Palestinian people, until the end of the Zionist occupation, and the formation of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, he affirmed.
Kuwait’s government and people will not leave the Palestinian people to their fate, and will continue meeting the needs of the people in Gaza, he assured. Office Manager of the IICO in Jordan Dr Mustafa Al-Awwad said that this aid will reach Gaza, carrying with it about 3,453 food, health, winter clothes parcels, to meet the needs of the afflicted families in Gaza.
This convoy comes in cooperation with a group of Kuwaiti volunteer teams and charitable institutions representing many Kuwaiti teams. As part of the IICO aid campaign, Kuwaiti relief delegation visited on Thursday Syrian and Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, to determine their living conditions and support them. The participants of the delegation, representing the Kuwaiti volunteer teams participating in the "Gaza Relief” campaign, provided needed aid and gifts to children living in the camps. — KUNA
