KUWAIT: The Saad Charity for Knowledge and Scientific Research is launching an education forum Sunday titled “The Future of Education: Innovation and Technology for Sustainability” at the Kuwait National Library. The event is organized in collaboration with several ministries, institutions, and Kuwait University, along with international participation, to emphasize the importance of collective efforts in building a bright and sustainable educational future for Kuwait.
Sheikha Nabila Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, a board member and treasurer of the charity and president of the forum, stated to KUNA on Saturday that the forum, which is sponsored by Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, aims to outline a general framework for a sustainable educational future that employs safe modern technology to enhance education quality, provide opportunities for innovation, and achieve inclusive and equitable education.
Sheikha Nabila added that the forum also seeks to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable education and the role of technology in achieving comprehensive and innovative education, supporting the values of Kuwait’s development plan, and utilizing modern technology in education.
The form will also promote equality and equal opportunities for access to inclusive education and to build international cooperation networks based on trust and mutual respect among scholars and professionals in sustainable education. It will also raise awareness about ethical practices in sustainable education environments, highlight key standards of social responsibility, and address the challenges and socio-economic and political issues related to sustainable education.
Sheikha Nabila stated that the closing ceremony of the two-day forum will announce the winners of the Sheikha Fadia Al-Saad Scientific Competition.
Dr Abeer Al-Omairi, the scientific coordinator of the forum, told KUNA that the forum will discuss several themes, including the sustainable digital future and its role in enhancing Kuwait’s position, the sustainable digital government, and the standards of digital transformation in Kuwait. It will also explore practical steps to achieve sustainable development goals in education.
Dr Al-Omairi added that the forum, which brings together experts, innovators, and distinguished individuals in technology and education, will discuss successful partnerships, creating a secure digital future, creative skills for effective sustainable education, challenges in technological investment, and the standards and indicators for evaluating the success of technological investments in sustainable education. — KUNA
