KUWAIT: Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the GCC Joint Program Production Institution, said the institution will produce special content to celebrate GCC nations during the upcoming "Gulf Weeks” coinciding with the 45th Gulf Summit, set to take place in Kuwait next December.
In a press statement following a meeting with the event planning team, Sheikh Mubarak shared that they discussed proposals and ideas for media and promotional activities planned for the "Gulf Weeks.” He explained that the institution aims to produce media programs and launch initiatives showcasing the achievements of the Gulf states.
This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the GCC General Secretariat and under the guidance of Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi. Sheikh Mubarak emphasized that the Gulf Weeks activities are part of the efforts to implement decisions put forward by the leaders of the GCC countries, in line with the Supreme Council’s resolution from its 35th session on December 9, 2014, which calls for promoting and highlighting the achievements of the GCC nations.
The GCC Joint Program Production Institution was established to collectively promote the accomplishments of the council and its six member states: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. GCC leaders hold regular summits to review progress at the Gulf level. The GCC was formed in the early 1980s to enhance coordination and cooperation among the countries in the region across various sectors. — KUNA
