Military and security officials address air traffic, future plans

KUWAIT: Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and Acting Commander of the Air Force Major General Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed on Thursday the importance of continuing coordination between all concerned parties to ensure achieving the highest levels of readiness to keep pace with future growth in aviation traffic.

This came in a press statement issued by the Chief of Staff following a visit by Major General Sabah Al-Sabah to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation within the framework of coordination, cooperation, and exchange of expertise between the DGCA, the Ministry of Defense, and other ministries, bodies, and state institutions.

He praised the efforts exerted by the DGCA in developing the aviation sector, stressing that close cooperation between military and civilian bodies is the key to achieving sustainable successes in this vital sector. The meeting was held between the two sides to discuss, develop, and increase the efficiency of air operations. It also addressed air traffic, future plans, and updating technological systems that support aviation operations and increase the safety and security of passengers. — KUNA
