HH the Crown Prince Shooting Grand Prix to begin from Nov 8

KUWAIT: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Annual Shooting Grand Prix will be held November 8th until 16th, with 400 participants from Kuwait and Arab countries, said President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, Chairman of the organizing committee Eng. Duaij Al-Otaibi.

He said this tournament will launch the Kuwait Shooting Sport Club season 2024-2024, and will include all Olympic Shooting competitions for men and women. These include skeet, trap, pistol and rifle, in addition to Olympic archery, adding that an Arab tournament will be held alongside the Crown Prince Grand Prix.

Al-Otaibi appreciated the patronage of HH the Crown Prince of the tournament that became one of the most important events, second HH the Amir Annual International Grand Prix, adding that the continued support by the political leadership of the Kuwait Shooting Sport enabled it to make many major achievements.

Acting Director General of Public Authority for Sports (PAS) Bashar Abdullah told journalists that (PAS) is keen on supporting the tournament, and to bring out as best as can be, adding that he is confident the club will succeed in having this tournament in an outstanding fashion.

He said PAS supports the tournament strongly, and removes all obstacles, because it is always making sports achievements for Kuwait. Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Secretary General Obaid Al-Osaimi said the organizing committee is working on preparing all ranges of the club, to be at its best for the competitions, with Kuwaiti and Arab officiating teams running them.

The club meanwhile honored Kuwaiti shooters who won medals in the recent Asian Championship in Kazakhstan, as they won (5) gold and (5) silver medals. Shooter Nasser Al-Miqlid said his winning (3) gold medals in the trap and double trap events was the result of good preparation the club had for the national team.

Al-Miqlid said the tournament had a high technical level and strong competition, but the high concentration of Kuwait shooters enabled them to make such good results.
