KUWAIT: Director of Heido, the sports arm of Cancer Aware Nation, (CAN) Abdullah Khalid Al-Saleh said the campaign in cooperation with the women’s CAN Heido organized a Padel tournament with six teams participating earlier in the week. The teams were Razan & Fatima, SN, Noura & Wajd, Hessa & Thamara, Doube SH and Muchachas, the teams were divided into two groups three teams each and ended with the team of Razan & Fatima winning.
Abdullah Al-Saleh said CAN launched this activity to coincide with many activities in its new season aiming at raising the rate of health awareness about cancer diseases and seeking to achieve its awareness goals of reducing the rate of various cancer diseases and encouraging early detection.
CAN also launched the "lose.. you win” for women, while focusing on following a healthy lifestyle by relying on two important elements: Practicing physical activities and eat healthy, due to the high rates of obesity in Kuwait, specially that there a link with higher rates of breast cancer in overweight women.
The program is broadcast daily on instagram (@can_ campaign) until the end of breast cancer campaign during the month of October.
