CAP holds discussion, exhibition on women’s mental health in war

KUWAIT: CAP hosted a significant exhibition and discussion panel titled “Women, Peace, and Mental Health” on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, focusing on the theme of “Women in Times of War in Palestine.” The event brought together distinguished speakers, including Sheikha Intisar Salem Al-Sabah, founder of the Intisar Foundation, and Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights, Dr Faisal Al-Hajri, a urology specialist, Dr Hussain Al-Mutairi, an orthopedic consultant, who is also a Former Chairman of the Health Committee in the National Assembly, and Maha Al-Barjas, Secretary-General of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society.

The event included multiple notable audience, highlighted by the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarah Jaber Al-Ahmad, Ambassadors, and other esteemed guests. The discussions focused on the critical role of women in fostering peace and addressing mental health challenges in conflict zones, underscoring the need for ongoing support and advocacy for women’s rights in war-affected regions.
