Kuwaiti PM, officials mark Saudi Arabia’s National Day

KUWAIT: The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the State of Kuwait marked on Monday the 94th anniversary of the Saudi National Day, in the presence of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, alongside a number of ministers, senior state officials and heads of diplomatic missions.

The Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud, said that Kuwait holds a special place in the hearts of all Saudi people. He recalled the early efforts of Saudi Arabia’s founding father King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud to unify the kingdom, which began in Kuwait.

The ambassador thanked the leadership and people of Kuwait for joining the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in celebrating its national day. He also congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud and the Saudi people on this occasion.

The ceremony included several events and activities that celebrated Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage. A Saudi folk troupe performed the Saudi Ardha, which is a prominent part of Saudi national folklore and reflects the distinguished folk heritage of the kingdom. — KUNA
