A journey of dedication and change

As Kuwait Times celebrates its 63rd anniversary, I proudly reflect on my journey as part of this incredible team since 1990.

Looking back over the years, I can confidently say that the journey has been worth every mile. Together with my colleagues, we have witnessed and adapted to countless changes, from manual processes to the latest advancements in printing technologies. Working with many managing editors, from Clement Mercenas to Shakir Reshamwala, we have always strived to fulfill one motto: To provide our readers with the latest news.

In this evolving digital world, we had to grow and adapt to the changing scenarios. Every managing editor brought fresh plans, strategies and a unique style, always aiming for genuine reporting. Each one of them aspired to make Kuwait Times not only the most readable newspaper in Kuwait but throughout the entire Gulf region, and they succeeded.

Joining Kuwait Times three decades ago has meant being part of a legacy of journalistic excellence. Over the years, I have witnessed and contributed to the evolution of the media landscape in Kuwait and beyond, shaping the news and information that have engaged our readers.

My journey with Kuwait Times has been marked by numerous contributions over the years. I have reported on many events in Kuwait, especially those concerning expatriates, and provided insightful commentary that has resonated with our readership. I’ve also adapted to the changing dynamics of journalism while maintaining the accuracy and integrity that Kuwait Times is known for, serving as a benchmark for others in the media industry.

Throughout these years, Kuwait Times has been a pillar of strength for all its staff. I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the best managing editors, learning and growing with them.

As Kuwait Times celebrates this remarkable 63-year journey, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for being part of this extraordinary newspaper, which has enriched not only me but also my colleagues, who have played a crucial role in shaping the media landscape in Kuwait.

Here’s to celebrating a legacy of journalistic excellence and looking forward to many more years of continued success. I congratulate the editor-in-chief, deputy editors-in-chief, managing editor, editors and the entire staff on this auspicious day, and I take pride in being part of this establishment for 34 years.
