KUWAIT: For the third year running, Zain joined the graduation ceremony held to celebrate the students who successfully participated in the Kuwait Codes program in strategic collaboration with CODED Academy. This initiative, considered the best of its kind nationwide, continues to write new success stories as it empowers thousands of aspiring young coders, preparing them to be the next generation of Kuwait’s tech leaders.
The closing ceremony featured a special exhibition where students showcased the projects they worked on throughout the season. Afterwards, the company presented the ‘Zain Award for Creativity’ in recognition of student excellence. The ceremony also witnessed the recognition of all the students who successfully enrolled in the fourth season.
Many of Zain’s corporate sustainability initiatives center around youth and education development. As digital capacities are gaining accelerating significance in the future of education and the economy, the company has put the development of programming and other digital competencies at the forefront of its priorities. Zain’s continued support to Kuwait Codes falls under the umbrella of this strategy. Through a wide range of programs and initiatives, Zain commits to upskilling local talents with the skills required by today’s markets, like coding, cybersecurity, AI, digital transformation applications, and more. ‘Kuwait Codes’ has at its core the development of many of these skillsets.
During the fourth season, Zain hosted at its headquarters in Shuwaikh a special event for the program’s participants, where students formed two teams to answer exciting questions and join engaging activities. The gathering aimed at developing the students’ creative and critical thinking skills while also fostering a teamwork spirit. These interpersonal skillsets are as important as the technical and digital skills that are the main focus of Kuwait Codes.
Kuwait Codes is the top initiative of its kind in Kuwait, and it continues its mission to create a technically advanced generation by offering the opportunity for high school students from private and public schools to learn and develop programming skills in several main streams. These streams include website design, Python programming, video game development, and smartphone app development using Flutter. This year, AI and cybersecurity were also added as main streams due to their significant roles in emerging technologies.
Zain is proud to be one of the main strategic partners of CODED throughout the years, a partnership that has contributed to empowering thousands of young programmers and developers in the local market. The company continues to renew this support to contribute to fostering the digital leaders of Kuwait’s tomorrow. As a leading digital service provider, Zain always seeks to reach new levels of excellence with its customers through offering the best innovative services, meeting their needs and aspirations, as well as supporting programs and initiatives that embrace tech innovation and aim at developing it.
