CAIRO: The delegation of Tomooh Sports Club for the Special Needs returned from Cairo following its participation in the 5th International Heliopolis championship during which they won 6 gold, one silver and one bronze.
The delegation was received by the club’s board of directors upon arrival at Kuwait International Airport, representatives from Public Authority for Sport and their families. Head of the delegation Fahad Al-Sahly told KUNA that the achievement reflects the level of care and support the special needs are enjoying in Kuwait and lauded their performance and their commitment during the championship.
Player Mohammad Al-Mashmoom who won two gold and one silver medals said he was happy with the achievement that was the result of hard work by the players and concerned departments.
Coach Bilal Al-Hamami lauded the players’ performance and their enthusiasm and their control of first places of athletics as well as table tennis in which they won gold and silver.
Al-Mashmoom, Al-Mutawaa and Al-Otaibi won gold medals in the 100 meters race while Al-Otaibi and Al-Mashmoom won gold in the 200 meters while Al-Mutawaa won bronze. — KUNA
