Minister: Teachers are main pillars in building the future generation

KUWAIT: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Education Dr Nader Al-Jallal congratulated teachers on Sunday on the start of the 2024-2025 academic year. In a press statement on the sidelines of his inspection tour of a number of schools, Al-Jallal stressed that teachers are the main pillars in building the future generation and the role model from which “our children draw inspiration for the values of learning and giving.”

He touched on the great support the Ministry of Education receives from the political leadership at all levels, believing that education is the foundation for building the future of the country, indicating that the leadership’s directives always focus on improving the quality of education and developing national competencies “as we work hard to translate this vision into a tangible reality through plans and programs that ensure achieving excellence and leadership in all stages of education.”

The minister pointed out that the role of the teacher is not limited to providing information, but rather it is a leadership role that requires guidance, direction, and character building. Therefore, “we urge all brothers and sisters, teachers, male and female, to keep pace with technological developments and modern teaching methods that enable the creation of an interactive environment that motivates students to think creatively and love exploration.

Al-Jallal stressed that the Ministry is keen to devote all available capabilities and make every effort to equip new and existing schools in order to provide a suitable, safe, and stimulating educational environment for students and teachers alike, noting that diligent work is the basis for ensuring the success of the educational process in the Ministry of Education.

He expressed his gratitude to all workers and those in charge of the intensive preparations for the new academic year, appreciating the tireless efforts made by work teams from various sectors and educational regions to ensure the readiness of schools, hoping that this academic year will be a year full of success and achievements for all. Al-Jallal concluded by saying that “education is the greatest investment in the future of the country, and the continuous cooperation between teachers, administrators, and parents will certainly bear positive fruit in raising the level of education in the country.” — KUNA
