Kuwait seeks to boost trade ties with Malaysia

KUWAIT: The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Sunday said it will provide all its services to enhance economic relations between Kuwait and Malaysia in the fields of economic development and trade cooperation through attracting investment and trade projects and establishing successful partnerships between the two friendly countries.

The KCCI issued a statement on Sunday on the sidelines of its reception of the Chief of the Governor’s Office in the Malaysian state of Selangor, Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj, and his accompanying economic delegation, in the presence of the Malaysian Ambassador to Kuwait Alauddin bin Muhammad Noor.

Al-Haj expressed the interest of the Malaysian government in strengthening economic cooperation with Kuwait, adding that it is striving to develop the existing trade exchange between the two countries in various fields and establish strategic investment partnerships.

Al-Haj expressed his thanks to the KCCI for the warm reception during his first visit to the country, praising Kuwait and its manifestations of civilization and modern buildings. During the delegation’s visit to the Chamber, members of the Malaysian delegation reviewed their activities in the fields of oil and gas, real estate development, food security, medicines, pharmaceutical materials and others. — KUNA
