KUWAIT: Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs and Projects Ibrahim Al-Naham said on Wednesday that developing health facilities embodies the Ministry’s vision to provide the best integrated health services that ensure the comfort and safety of the citizens and enhance the efficiency of the health system in the country. This came in a press statement made by Al-Naham following a field visit accompanied by specialized engineering teams in the Ministry to the Abdulrahman and Waleed Manahi Al-Asimi Cardiac Intensive Care Center.

He stressed that the Ministry pays great attention to the quality of health services provided and seeks to modernize and develop its facilities to keep pace with the latest international standards in health care. He added that these projects enhance the health services provided to citizens, noting that these facilities represent a qualitative addition to the health care system in the country and contribute significantly to meeting citizens’ health needs in specialized areas such as heart diseases and pediatric dental treatment.

Al-Naham stressed the need to adhere to the specified timetables to complete the remaining works to ensure that these projects enter into operation on time. Al-Naham expressed his thanks to the engineering teams and workers for their efforts, appreciating the support of the Minister of Health Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi and the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and their follow-up of the implementation of projects.

This visit comes within a series of inspection visits to ensure the progress of work in the construction projects supervised by the Ministry and to ensure their commitment to the specified timetable. During the tour, the current completion rates in each of the two centers were reviewed, and the challenges facing the engineering teams and ways to overcome them were discussed to ensure the completion of work according to the approved engineering and health standards. — KUNA
