Kuwait Towers
Kuwait Towers comprise of three towers; each offers different services. The main tower is the tallest and most exciting. It has two globes, with the one at the top containing a restaurant. The globe is designed to slowly rotate for the visitors of the restaurant to enjoy a full bird’s eye view of Kuwait City. The second tallest tower has a single globe and is used for water storage, and the third, known as the service tower, has no globes and is used for water distribution and technical services. Kuwait Towers were built in 1979, and features a traditional Islamic theme with a modern touch, representing Kuwait’s heritage, and is considered a landmark of Kuwait.
Liberation Tower
The Liberation Tower was built after the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait to commemorate Kuwait’s liberation. The tower has a sleek and elegant vertical silhouette that commands attention in Kuwait’s skyline. Its design is highlighted with a distinctive, circular midsection. This round, globe-like structure not only adds visual interest but also sets the tower apart as a unique architectural landmark. It has an observation deck that allows viewers to view Kuwait City and the Gulf. The tower mainly includes office spaces for various governmental and private organizations. These offices contribute to the tower’s functionality as a center for administrative and business activities.
Al Hamra Tower
Al Hamra Tower is the tallest building in Kuwait at nearly 414 meters tall. Not only is it unique for its height, but also for its artistic twisting design that gives it an outstanding appearance. Construction of the tower was completed in 2011. It includes 80 floors above ground, and offers different facilities such as business offices, conference and wedding halls, dining spaces, shops, cinema and other entertainment options.
Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC)
JACC has an aesthetic exterior covered with an eye-catching material, as the reflective glass panels are designed to interact with natural light, creating a shimmering effect that changes throughout the day. JACC opened in 2016 as a cultural and entertainment hub on a massive scale, hosting theatrical performances, operas, concerts, exhibitions, conferences and many other events. JACC is also surrounded by an open outdoor space with restaurants, cafes and a park that provides a green space for visitors to enjoy and relax.
The Avenues mall
The most famous and favorite destination for many residents of Kuwait, The Avenues mall is a premier shopping and entertainment destination that was completed in phases, starting from 2007. It is an extensive and expansive mall, making it one of the largest shopping and entertainment destinations in the Middle East, as it spans over 1.3 million square meters. The Avenues has four major phases, each contributing to its reputation as a central hub for retail and leisure. Beyond shopping and dining, The Avenues functions like a small town of its own, offering additional amenities such as hotels, gyms and spas, thereby providing a comprehensive lifestyle experience.
