KUWAIT: Minister of Health Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi stressed keenness to provide the necessary support to workers in the field of therapeutic nutrition and feeding, which contributes to improving the quality of health services provided to citizens and residents in Kuwait. In a press statement on Monday, after receiving a delegation from the Syndicate of Nutrition Workers in the public and private sectors, Minister Al-Awadhi expressed his deep appreciation for the prominent role played by nutritionists.

He pointed out the importance of studying the proposals submitted by the union and working to enhance cooperation between all concerned parties to achieve common goals in improving the level of health care. During the meeting, which was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Munther Al-Hasawi, views were exchanged on issues related to the profession of therapeutic nutrition, and emphasis was placed on the vital role of nutritionists in promoting community health and preventing diseases.

Specialized Dental Center

In another development: the Minister of Health affirmed the Ministry's interest in enhancing the level of health care in all specialized centers, stressing the need to join efforts to overcome existing challenges and improve health services provided in line with the aspirations of citizens and residents in the country. This came in a statement by Minister Al-Awadhi following an inspection tour of Al-Jahra Specialized Dental Center on Monday, accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Dental Affairs Dr Ahmad Asad, as part of his keenness to follow up on the progress of work in specialized health facilities and closely monitor the level of services provided to visitors.

Al-Awadhi stressed the importance of overcoming obstacles that hinder the daily workflow, affirming the Ministry's keenness to support medical and technical cadres and provide all necessary supplies to ensure the provision of high-quality health services. He pointed out the need to place the needs of visitors at the forefront of the Ministry's priorities and work to meet their requirements to ensure the provision of an integrated and distinguished health service.

The minister began his tour by meeting with the medical, technical, and administrative staff at the center, where he reviewed the achievements made by the center in addition to the challenges facing the medical and administrative staff in performing their duties to the fullest extent. He also conducted a field tour inside the center’s various departments, where he interacted with visitors and listened to their comments and suggestions about the services provided. He also met with a number of employees working at the center and listened to their opinions about the work environment and the challenges they face in providing health care. - KUNA
