KFF chief inspects Shaddadiya center for hazardous materials

KUWAIT: Acting Chief of Kuwait Fire Service Force (KFSD) Major General Khaled Fahad on Sunday visited the Shaddadiya Fire Station for hazardous materials and inspected the work of firefighters and how to deal with hazardous materials in case of accidents. KFF said in a press statement that Major General Fahad conveyed the greetings of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah to the center’s staff.

Major General Fahad discussed issues related to the handling of chemical, biological, and radiological accidents and explosions, pointing out that the center is fully equipped with equipment and devices for monitoring gases from a distance, inspection devices for unknown materials to determine the type of material, advanced mechanisms to stop leaks, and special mechanisms to deal with all accidents of hazardous materials. The KFF chief expressed his sincere thanks to those in charge of the center, including officers and non-commissioned officers, calling on them to exert more effort and to protect lives and properties. — KUNA
