PIFSS denies newspapers and social media reports

KUWAIT: The Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) denied what was circulated in one of the local newspapers and social media regarding some amendments to the social insurance law.

The institution said on its official account on the social networking site (X) on Wednesday that the retirement age is still 50 years for women and 55 years for men and that the number of years of service required to qualify for a pension is 15 years. One of the local newspapers had published an article about fundamental amendments to social insurance and pension.
