KUNA organizes training course for students

KUWAIT: The Kuwait News Agency’s (KUNA) Center for the Development of Media Capabilities concluded a training course entitled “fundamentals of writing a news story’. This is within the agency’s journalism training program for university students in its ninth edition.

The week-long course covered several aspects, including the theoretical aspect, which includes the basics of writing a press release, its types, linguistic employment, logical linking in the information, as well as dealing with templates and technical forms of press releases.

The course also highlighted common mistakes on people’s tongues in the Arabic language, along with introductory verbs, the art of making and drafting news headlines, and general practical exercises.

KUNA launched its ninth journalistic training program for university students last week with an enlightening program for trainee students, introducing them to both theoretical and practical aspects, as well as field visits to various state institutions and bodies. The program continues until the first of September. — KUNA
