Company hosts session for members of Integrated Media Academy

KUWAIT: Zain hosted a special session for participants of the Media Pathway program, organized by the Integrated Media Academy (IMA). The company shared its expertise in media, public relations, community service, corporate sustainability, and customer service, showcasing its success stories and strategies for effective communication through traditional and digital channels.

This initiative aligned with Zain’s belief in the significant impact media has on community development and its support of the local media industry. By sharing its expertise, Zain aimed to introduce the program’s participants to its experience as one of Kuwait’s most socially active private sector organizations. The session provided participants with new insights, skill development opportunities, and enriched the program’s overall outcomes.

The session took place at the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC), where the company discussed the strategies it uses to effectively communicate with the community through both traditional and digital channels. Zain also highlighted its social responsibilities, including support for health, education, youth, sports, the environment, people with disabilities, women empowerment, employee engagement, and more.

Additionally, the session shed light on some of Zain’s top success stories, such as the annual Zain Alshuhoor Ramadan campaign, the biggest local football competition Dawri Zain, and the youth empowerment initiative Innovation Nation. The company emphasized how these successes were achieved through partnerships with public and private sector organizations, including ministries, academic institutions, NGOs, and non-profits.

Zain also explained the roles and responsibilities of its Corporate Affairs and Relations Division, covering areas like building external and internal relations, effective media relations, social media engagement, corporate sustainability and social responsibility initiatives, and empowering innovation and entrepreneurship. After the session, participants toured Zain’s 107 Contact Center to learn about the company’s leading customer service practices.

The Media Pathway program is one of many training initiatives offered by the Integrated Media Academy for those passionate about a media career. The academy aims to develop professional media skills and help participants understand the essentials of the industry. The programs include extensive theoretical and practical sessions, along with field visits to media institutions and private sector organizations to learn from their experiences and interact directly with media professionals.
