KUWAIT: The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) held a course on ‘fundamentals of news writing’ on Sunday. This is within the agency’s journalism training program for university students. The lecturer, Deputy Editor-in-Chief for International Affairs, Oqab Al-Qouba, said in a press statement that the topics will cover the theoretical aspect, including the basics of writing press releases, its types, and the logical link in the information, as well as dealing with templates and technical forms of the press release.

The course highlights the common mistakes on people’s tongues in the Arabic language and also deals with introductory verbs and the art of making and drafting news headlines.
