BRUSSELS: The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, on Monday reaffirmed the EU’s willingness to “deepen our cooperation” with Kuwait. Following a phone call with His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah, Michel took to X, saying that “the EU-Kuwait partnership is growing stronger every day.” He affirmed that he is looking forward to the EU-GCC Summit, “which will showcase the positive momentum of the EU-GCC ties.
We will work on every aspect of the EU-Kuwait bilateral relations, putting it at the service of peace and prosperity for our citizens,” Michel added. His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Sabah, received a phone call earlier from Michel, during which they discussed means to develop EU-Kuwaiti bilateral relations. They also discussed regional and global developments of shared interest and coordinated their responses towards them. — KUNA
