PARIS: The Chairman of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, stressed Monday the depth of Kuwaiti-Emirati sporting ties.
This came in a statement to KUNA after the Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee visited the UAE Olympic pavilion in the French capital, Paris, on the sidelines of the 2024 Olympic Games and met with the Vice-President of the UAE Olympic Committee and Head of the UAE delegation participating in the Games, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi.
Sheikh Fahad stressed the importance of these bilateral meetings to confirm the solidity of Kuwaiti Emirati sporting relations, affirming the UAE’s distinction in the sports field.
Kuwait is participating for the 14th time in the Summer Olympic Games, with a delegation of nine athletes competing in six sports: Shooting, fencing, swimming, athletics, rowing and sailing. — KUNA
