KUWAIT: Members of the Paralympic Al-Tomooh Sport Club for mental disability experienced euphoric moments on Friday with the onset of the summer Olympics in Paris. The Club members have been entertained by watching the international sports event on a large screen.
They were accompanied by the assistant foreign minister for GCC affairs Ambassador Najib Al-Badr, chairperson of the Special Olympics Kuwait Hanaa Al-Zawawi, the public relations director at the Public Authority for the Disability Affairs Doha Khamis, the general director of the Human Building Society Awatef Al-Salman, the chairperson of the Kuwait society for families of the disabled Rehab Bouresli, and the honorary chairperson of the Kuwait Club for the Disabled Sheikha Sheikha Al-Abdullah. The estimated 150 members of Al-Tomooh Club practice field and track, swimming, shooting, racing, horseback riding and other games. — KUNA
