‘Fix’ deployed for bug that caused global IT outage: CrowdStrike

Turkish Airlines cancels 84 flights after IT outage

Paris: A fix has been deployed for a bug that caused aglobal IT outage affecting airports, banks and media across the world, the CEOof CrowdStrike antivirus firm said Friday.

“CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impactedby a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts... The issue hasbeen identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed,” CEO George Kurtz saidin a message on social media platform X.

Meanwhile : Turkish Airlines announced on Friday itcancelled 84 flights after a global IT outage wrought havoc on computer systemsworldwide.

“In order to avoid any disruption, some flights will becancelled and our flights will gradually return to normal as soon as possible,”Yahya Ustun of Turkish Airlines announced on X.-AFP
