Kuwait and China discuss renewable energy projects

KUWAIT: The Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and the Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Dr Mahmoud Boushehri, on Monday discussed renewable energy projects with the CEO of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) and Representative of China in the Middle East and North Africa, Ma Shao.

The Ministry said that the meeting covered bilateral relations and energy cooperation between Kuwait and China, exploring ways to enhance this cooperation based on a strategic Memorandum of Understanding signed between the ministry and China’s National Energy Administration for developing the electrical energy system and renewable energy. They also discussed some quick and applicable solutions to boost electricity production for the summer of 2025, the statement added. — KUNA
