KUWAIT: The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) organized a workshop entitled “Jewelry Making Using Italian Murano Glass” at the Bait Al Othman Museum as part of the activities of the 16th Summer Cultural Festival. The event attracted a number of participants between the ages of 14-17 who produce pieces of artwork. The presenter of the workshop and owner of the Jazaz Academy, Mohamed Al-Duwaisan, said on Sunday that the workshop is aimed at helping young people go through the experience of shaping glass by using it in an interesting and beautiful way.
Al-Duwaisan added that the art of glassmaking is suitable for all ages, praising the observance of safety requirements and the use of tools with caution, especially when dealing with fire. The 16th Summer Cultural Festival was launched on July 1st under the patronage of the Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and its activities will continue for two months to cover the summer vacation period, taking into account the diversity in cultural activities, especially for children and youths. — KUNA
