BEIRUT: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) continued on Friday its distribution of relief aid to people in southern Lebanon, affected by Israeli occupation’s military aggression since October 7, 2023.
In a statement to KUNA, relief coordinator for the Lebanese Red Cross Yousef Boutros said that the KRCS is continuing its relief aid distribution to the Lebanese in cities and villages in the south whose security had been threatened in the last three months by Israeli occupation attacks. In coordination with KRCS, the Lebanese Red Cross’ aid included food and cleaning supplies for over 2,000 Lebanese families since May, added Boutros.
The KRCS’ aid, Boutros stated, was distributed to towns and villages in a five-kilometer radius from the shared border between Lebanon and occupied Palestine. Moreover, the KRCS’ relief and contributions extend to its permanent “loaf project,” aiding and supplying food to thousands of Syrian and Lebanese families and refugees over the years. — KUNA
