Kuwait youth team bag five medals at Arab championship

KUWAIT: Kuwait Youth Athletic team returned home after a positive participation in the Arab Youth (423) Athletics Championship, during which the team won (5) medals, after Abdullah Al-Zankawi won the gold medal in the discus throw recording 53.96 meters, and Yacoub Al-Azmi winning the bronze medal in the 200 meters running recording 21.26 seconds.

Kuwait Athletics Federation Secretary General, Head of Delegation Hussein Dashti lauded the outstanding performance of Kuwait athletes, adding “all players had high levels that showed clear development in their technical level, even those who did not win medals broke their own records, and this is due to their keenness to exert their best efforts in a tournament that had the best athletes from 12 Arab countries”.

Hussein Dashti said the federation is keen on continuing its programs that were prepared by the federation’s coaches in order to achieve the best results at the Gulf, Arab continental and international levels.
