KUWAIT: The Civil Service Bureau affirmed on Tuesday its keenness and constant endeavor to provide job opportunities for national cadres in order to ensure maximum benefit from human resources and to serve the country better. The Director of the Service Development and Work Methods Department and Director of the Human Resources Development Center at the CSC, Bedour Al-Enezi, said in her speech during a workshop organized by the Civil Service Commission that new engineering titles were announced. They include: project engineer, safety engineer, environmental engineer, contract engineer, and industry engineer, in addition to media titles like editor.
Al-Enezi added that in view of the recent administrative developments and to keep pace with the latest developments in job titles and frameworks, especially in the engineering and media fields, the CSC, in cooperation with Kuwait University, updated and developed job titles in line with professional developments in various fields to improve job performance and the level of services.
The workshop clarifies the tasks and duties and the relationship of these jobs with other jobs to raise work efficiency and ensure maximum benefit from human resources. Al-Enezi stressed the CSC’s keenness to develop jobs and titles for engineering specialties and re-study their job descriptions in accordance with recent developments and the approval of the Civil Service Council for their importance in developing tasks in government agencies.
The CSC develops strategic plans based on the real needs of the state with the aim of improving government performance and developing a careful study of the needs of various entities to ensure the provision of qualified cadres capable of meeting the requirements of work with high efficiency. Al-Enezi stressed that the CSC is striving to analyze challenges in order to develop policies in line with development goals and enhance the capabilities of government agencies, ensuring readiness to face future challenges and achieve the best results for the benefit of the country.
For his part, Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Development Affairs at the CSC Mohamed Al-Ahmad said that the workshop aims to clarify the latest job descriptions for jobs occupied by employees or recent graduates in engineering and media disciplines and clarify the tasks and duties and the relationship of this job to raise work efficiency and ensure the benefits.
Al-Ahmad added that the CSC has made great efforts to develop new names that serve all government agencies, noting that the names came after careful study with Kuwait University. He stated that the new names create additional opportunities for engineers and appoint them according to their qualifications in various entities to serve the country, noting that the CSC, in addition to providing job opportunities, is keen on the integrity of nominations and the application of equal opportunities and justice in employment.
In turn, the Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Dr Khaled Al-Hazza, told KUNA that with the development of the country and the increase in the number of graduates of engineers and media, there was a need to create new names, and therefore coordination and cooperation between the two sides took place. Al-Hazza added that Kuwait University seeks to qualify engineers and prepare them to serve the employers in the country and is keen to keep pace with the labor market and its developments, indicating that participation in the workshop came to demonstrate the importance of these jobs and specialties for the benefit of the country.—KUNA
