ShareKUWAIT: Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousuf Al-Sabah issued adecision allowing the transfer of domestic workers' visas (visa 20) to privatesector workers' visas (visa 18), during the period from July 14, 2024 toSeptember 12, 2024.
A domestic worker is required to obtain their employer'spermission to transfer, and that only after spending at least one year ofworking for the same employer. Furthermore, a KD 50 fee is collected for thetransfer, in addition to KD 10 for every year in the new contract.
