KUWAIT: The Health Minister, Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi, has underlined the importance of continuing cooperation between all internal medicine departments to achieve the desired goals and improve the health services provided to citizens and residents. The minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by these departments in various hospitals during a meeting with health officials. The meeting comes within the plan of the Minister of Health and the Undersecretary of the Ministry to meet with the councils of technical departments in various disciplines, where many topics and challenges facing the internal medicine departments were discussed.

Minister Al-Awadhi stressed the importance of achieving a balance in the distribution of medical cadres to ensure the provision of integrated and high-quality health services in all hospitals. The meeting also dealt with coordination between internal medicine departments and the rest of the medical departments, coordination between hospitals to improve the quality of health services provided to patients, and discussing the future plan for the work of internal medicine departments, which is aimed at enhancing efficiency.

The officials discussed the sentinel system and how to improve it to ensure continuous and comprehensive care for patients around the clock. They also talked about how to organize outpatient clinics according to the needs of the patients, ensure the availability of medical care at the appropriate times, and ensure fair distribution of doctors to hospitals.
