KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Samih Hayat said Thursday that Kuwait is keen on promoting relations and cooperation with Singapore in all fields, including education.

The ambassador made the statement to KUNA following the first session of bilateral consultations at the level of senior officials of the foreign ministries of Kuwait and Singapore, saying that both sides are set to mark 40 years since their bilateral relations were established. He added that both sides share the same views on various issues, stressing continued communication, coordination, and cooperation in this regard.

Hailing the bilateral consultations as "fruitful,” the ambassador said they had discussed bilateral relations between both friendly countries, ways of promoting and developing them in all areas, and the latest regional and international developments. He also conveyed the greetings of Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, who looks forward to his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan’s planned visit to Kuwait next year. — KUNA
