Kids trained to utilize AI in news creation process

KUWAIT: Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday concluded its summer media-training program, which began on June 23, for members of the KUNA Junior Club. In a press statement, KUNA’s head of marketing Lamia Al-Farsi said that participating children were informed about the inner workings at the agency in addition to the fundamentals of journalism.

The 15 children (from 9 to 12 years) were trained to deliver news in audio and video formats, as well as photography, and news writing. They were also trained to utilize AI in the news creation process. She went on to say that a number of fun activities and field trips, namely to Kuwait Times newspaper, took place during the course. The course concluded with honoring participants and supervisors. — KUNA
