RABAT:  The General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) elected Kuwait Wednesday as a member of its Executive Council. In its 28th session in Rabat, the General Assembly also elected Kuwait as a member in a number of the organization’s technical committees for air transport, aviation security, and air safety.

Commenting on the election, Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation told KUNA that this election reflects Arab countries’ trust in Kuwait and the country’s pioneering role in Arab civil aviation. The session included participation from Arab member states, with Kuwait’s delegation led by Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah accompanied by Ambassador Abdulatif Al-Yahya. — KUNA
