BANGKOK: Kuwait’s boxer Hamza Behbehani continued his winning ways towards international recognition as he beat Pakistan’s Abi Jawzi Khan during the heavy weight match that was held in Bangkok, Thailand at the weekend. Behbehani who won by a technical knockout advanced by more than 200 places and received "half star” ratings by the WBC.

This international boxing tournament included 32 boxers from Kuwait, USA, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Britain, Australia, Iran and Vietnam.

Behbehani was in control from the start, then in the second round he was able to hit his opponent with heavy punches causing him to lose his balance and fall down and he could not continue prompting the referee to declare Behbehani the winner by a TKO.

Behbehani was very happy with his win and dedicated it to the political leadership and hoped to continue his winning ways and improve his ranking and start competing for world titles. Behbehani lauded the support of Vice President of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf who is the main supporter of professional boxers.
