KUWAIT: The Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Dr Noura Al-Mashaan, stressed on Saturday the need to overcome all the obstacles facing the implementation of the new passenger terminal project (Terminal 2) and work to develop effective solutions to accelerate the pace of work. Minister Al-Mashaan added, after meeting with the President of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak Hamoud Al-Sabah, that they discuss the progress of work on the project. She said that there are continuous efforts to develop the infrastructure of Kuwait International Airport and enhance its operational capabilities.

The meeting also discussed topics related to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Fire Force, and the follow-up on government performance. She stressed the keenness of all parties to accomplish topics related to their esteemed entities. The meeting comes within a series of periodic meetings held to ensure the delivery of the new passenger terminal project and address outstanding issues. She explained that the concerned authorities are working closely with the Civil Aviation Authority to overcome any obstacles and support the continuous progress of this vital project, which is a key part of Kuwait’s developmental plan aimed at boosting the economy.

"We intend to work collaboratively and intensively to ensure the completion of the new passenger terminal, which will significantly enhance productivity and expand our capabilities to accommodate the expected increase in air traffic. The project comes as an affirmation of our commitment to the development of the civil aviation sector and its vital role in supporting the country’s economic growth,” she explained.
