Kuwait, UAE eye closer security cooperation

KUWAIT: Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and Defense Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah held talks on Tuesday with UAE Ambassador Dr Matar Al-Neyadi, focusing on efforts to strengthen security cooperation between the two Gulf Arab neighbors.

The Kuwaiti minister praised the “depth” of relations with Abu Dhabi, saying such ties are “brotherly and historic.” The UAE diplomat, alongside a delegation accompanying him, was appreciative of the Kuwaiti hospitality, saying the matters discussed aimed to propel bilateral cooperation to greater levels, according to an interior ministry statement. — KUNA
