Pilgrims practice trio's Al-Jamra stoning

MAKKAH:  Crowds of pilgrims performed the symbolic stoning rites, AlJamra Al-Sughra, Al-Jamra Alwusta and Al-Jamra Al-Kubra, in Mina on the second day of Eid Al-Adha, the first Al-Tashriq Day. Five lanes have been allocated as access for the faithful to reach the Al-Jamarat site. They are linked to the Al-Mashaer Train and the regions in the vicinity of the pilgrims' camp in Mina. The pilgrims are entitled to perform the stoning rite tomorrow (Tuesday), the Second Tahriq Day, in line with the Sunnah. They can proceed from Mina if they are in a hurry -- called the First Nafra, where they are relieved of staying for the third day's stoning provided they exit Mina before sunset. In the third Tashriq Day, falling on Wednesday, a pilgrim may hurl the three stones as he (she) did in the previous two days before departing Mina to Makkah, where the adherent circles the Kaaba upon leaving the city. — KUNA
